What to expect when visiting Higher State

Thank you for booking your wellness experience with Higher State Melbourne Airport. We look forward to welcoming you to our brand-new facility and trust you will have an enjoyable experience. 

About Higher State Wellness

Immerse yourself in an oasis of wellbeing at Higher State, amidst the vibrant energy of Melbourne Airport. Our tranquil wellness space is designed to provide a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Indulge in our luxurious massages and facial treatments, crafted to alleviate tension and promote deep relaxation. Our treatments harmonise modern serenity with timeless wellness traditions, ensuring a holistic healing experience.

Step into a realm of rejuvenation, where every detail is crafted to enhance your wellbeing. 

Wellness treatments are offered between  
Monday – Friday: 10am – 7pm 
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 6pm 
Wellness treatments will not be offered on public holidays. 

Our pool and infrared sauna are open between 
Monday – Friday: 7am – 7pm 
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 4pm 

The Health Club is available for members, Novotel guests and casual pass holders between 5am – 11pm each day. 

To access Higher State for your wellness treatment: 

  • For Higher State members and Novotel Guests: Simply swipe your access card or room key, enter the facility and proceed to the couches in the wellness waiting area. 
  • For ibis Styles Guests or Visitors: Please visit the hotel reception, and they will arrange access for you. 

If you are indulging in one of our facials or massage treatments, we recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time so that we can properly prepare you in a relaxing manner. Please understand that late arrivals may result in a reduced treatment time.

During your wellness treatment, we provide robes, towels, slippers, shower caps, disposable briefs and all amenities required during your visit. Simply relax and reconnect. 

If you are enjoying our pool or a session in our Infrared Sauna before or after your treatment, guests are required to wear appropriate swimwear. Towels are available in our changerooms for you to utilise during your visit.  

Please advise us of any health conditions, allergies or injuries which might affect your spa experience when making your reservation. For guests who are pregnant, we don’t currently offer massages suited for mums to be; however, facials are available for a relaxing experience.  

If you are including a session in our Infrared Sauna to relax and rejuvenate before or after your treatment, appropriate swimwear is required. Towels and lockers are also available within the wellness space. Changerooms can be found directly opposite the treatment room and infrared sauna room. 

Please note: A minimum age of 18 years is required to use the Infrared Sauna. Bookings will be required via the Higher State Active World app – please see instructions on how to book. 
 
Within the Higher State facilities and changerooms, children under the age of 16 years must be directly supervised by a responsible adult at all times. 
 
When visiting we encourage guests to bring a pair of thongs or slippers for use between the changerooms and pool or sauna. 

For all treatment bookings, a 100% charge will apply for all bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice.

We are within walking distance of all airport terminals, just 5-minutes from Terminal 4. You can find us opposite terminal 4 car park and bus interchange. Look for the Novotel and ibis Styles hotels.
